罗姆在印度开设全新全球应用中心

ROM has opened its latest Global Applications Center (GAC) in Bagmane Tech Park, India. The centre focuses on developing reference designs and will support ROM's global operations in India. Romm decided to invest in the centre, given the ecosystem of talented engineers, technologies and partners that India has.

GAC was established in mid-2021. In addition to the current LSI development, application engineering, power transistor r&d, and sales and marketing departments, rohm plans to invest in this new center by hiring dozens of power electronics engineers and expanding the lab to cater for applications of more than 10kW.

GAC will work on a variety of applications and build topologies, such as high power system topology reference designs, to maximize the performance of cutting-edge SiC power devices, ROM said in the press release. In addition, GAC plans to develop reference designs for power supply for data centers, base stations, and on-board chargers and charging stations for electric vehicles.
